Carrie Stokes
Director
Carrie is the founder and Director of Spotlight Accounting. With over 20 years experience both in practice and industry. Training with a top 6 accountancy practice, before moving into industry running the finance department of a large group of companies. Carrie started her own private practice and has a 12 year proven record of working with businesses to help them grow. Highlights of this journey have been travelling to Cyprus assisting a client in a sale of shares in an international property business, working on a technical paper for a high profile celebrity court case and working with a domiciliary care company from implementation of reporting through to its eventual sale. Carrie is married to Neil with two children Will & Lucy. In her spare time, she enjoys running (is forever chasing her PB) and loves nothing more than popping open a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy with family and friends.
Sally Taylor
Practice Manager
Sally is an ACA‑qualified accountant with over 20 years’ experience working in practice. She began her career training with a small local firm and, before joining Spotlight, held the role of Director at a top‑ten accountancy firm. Sally has wide‑ranging experience across audit and assurance, statutory accounts, and taxation compliance. She has worked with a diverse range of clients, including owner‑managed businesses, not‑for‑profit organisations, multi‑company groups, entities with overseas ownership, and FCA‑registered Clubs and Societies. Alongside her professional experience, Sally has previously served as a Director of a local charitable organisation. This gives her valuable insight into business management from the client’s perspective, helping her to provide practical, balanced advice that supports both compliance and day‑to‑day decision‑making. Outside of work, Sally plays hockey for Shrewsbury Ladies and enjoys gardening, going to the theatre and music concerts, and long walks in the countryside.
Kayleigh Doggett
Client Manager
Kayleigh is AAT qualified and began her career as a trainee for another local accountancy firm. She now has over 16 years’ experience of working in practice with a variety of different client types. Outside of work, she loves spending family time with her husband and young son, the theatre and socialising with friends.
Lucy Woodrow
Business Support Manager
Lucy has worked in various admin roles over the last twenty years, starting out from University with a large construction and road contracting company in Health & Safety. The last 9 years she has worked as an Events Coordinator for the University of Wolverhampton dealing with numerous different client types. Outside of work, Lucy loves spending time with her husband Jon and 2 young children, Noah and Jacob… Cheering them on at various sporting events! In her spare time, she enjoys running, hockey, anything crafty and socialising with friends and family.
Jordan Dawson Evans
Senior Accountnant
I am AAT qualified with 6 years’ experience working in practice & 2 years working in Industry. I began my career as an apprentice with another local practice and after finishing my AAT qualification I worked in a company’s accounts department and gained valuable skills and experience from this. Outside of work I enjoy running, going on long walks with my husband Adam and my dog Benji, and going to the cinema.
Gemma Walker
Client Accountant
Gemma began her accountancy journey straight from school when she secured her apprenticeship with another local firm of accountants. She now has nearly 14 years’ experience working in practice, working on a wide range of different client backgrounds.In her spare time, Gemma enjoys going to the gym, baking, going on long walks with her husband Chris and their 2 dogs Peanut and Noodle, and loves finishing to day off relaxing in the hot tub.
Janine Johnson
Business Support
Janine brings a wealth of admin skills to our team, with a career spanning various administrative roles, including 12 years in the banking sector. Janine's background has equipped her with exceptional organisation skills and a keen eye for detail. Outside of work, Janine is full of excitement planning her upcoming wedding to her fiancé, Mark. Together, they embrace the adventure of family life with their two daughters Sienna and Sophie. Weekends are often spent exploring new places, enjoying the great outdoors, and creating memories as a family.
Kristine Obzunar
Junior Accountant
Kristine (Tin) knew from a young age that she wanted to become an accountant, though along the way she was also drawn to IT, computer science, and engineering. Ultimately, her heart stayed with finance and accounting. She is a CPA, having passed her licensure examination in December 2024. Before joining Spotlight, she worked in audit for an offshore company in the Philippines serving a UAE-based client, collaborating with colleagues from India and around the world. Tin joined Spotlight Accounting in January 2026, moving into a full-time role that April, and now works across management accounts, year-end accounts preparation, and a broad portfolio of clients. She also trains and mentors new hires, helping them settle into the team and build confidence in their role. As the eldest of two daughters, Tin is naturally responsible and independent. Outside of work, she's endlessly curious about the world, from history and psychology to anthropology, biology, physics, and astrology, and how it all connects. She stays balanced through music, dance, fitness, and mindfulness.
Raisa Lidasan
Junior Accountant
Raisa is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Tax Technician (CTT) from the Philippines, now working with us as a Junior Accountant. Day to day, she processes clients' bookkeeping transactions and keeps their books straight — the groundwork everything else depends on. As a recent graduate she brings a genuine enthusiasm for the job alongside a real eye for detail — during her internship at a CPA firm she got her first taste of seeing what she'd learned at university actually play out with real clients and real numbers, and hasn't looked back since. Outside work, Raisa loves exploring new places around the Philippines and spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephews, who keep her both grounded and motivated to work hard.
Sally Cassidy
Business Support
Sally is an experienced Virtual Assistant with over 15 years in administration. She previously worked as Carrie's PA from 2021–2023 and is really excited to be back supporting the business again. Away from work, she is a mum of two young children and their cat mini. In her spare time she volunteers to help run a majorettes troupe with over 60 members, ranging from age 3 to 25. It keeps her on her toes, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
