About the role
We seek a semi-senior accountant to join the team at Spotlight, this an ideal opportunity for an individual early in their accounting career looking to develop and grow. Our experienced friendly team are on hand to give all the training and support needed to become a qualified accountant.
This role works with a diverse range of clients assisting in:
- Year end accounts preparation
- Preparation of personal tax working papers
- VAT return preparation
- Client bookkeeping (Xero Based)
- Client payrolls
- Client Xero Support
- Assisting with admin duties
Requirements
We are a digitally-focussed firm, so you’ll need to be IT savvy and embrace new technology we are already using AI to automate a lot of our basic tasks! We also strive to provide excellent client service, so if you have a great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, great organisation skills and can manage your own workload you will be a great fit for our team.
Other requirements are:
- Experience preparing year end accounts
- A minimum of two years practice experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- To adhere to our core values
Pay will be based on exact hours and experience.
Salary: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 FTE
Job Types: Both full time and part time applicants will be considered, but the role is for 30 hours a week or more.
